Project Overview

Hydrafacial is a rapidly growing global leader in innovative skincare technology offering a range of devices and products that utilize their patented Vortex-Fusion technology. Their machines deliver various serums and solutions that aim to address specific skin concerns and improve overall skin health.

Challenge

Hydrafacial sought to leverage their social media success to further elevate their brand image and drive product awareness. However, their existing visuals and content looked outdated, lacked cohesion across platforms, and the brand desperately needed a visual refresh to reflect their market leadership. These inconsistencies were hindering brand recognition and made it difficult to deliver engaging, targeted messaging to their audience.

My Role

To prepare for the overhaul, I spearheaded a two-pronged approach involving a visual identity refresh and strategic social media campaigns to reach new audiences and drive product interest.

In collaboration with a team of designers, I crafted a cohesive visual language reflecting Hydrafacial’s cutting-edge technology and their luxurious spa experience. This powerful rebrand set the foundation and became the cornerstone for building a robust digital marketing strategy.

As the lead designer, I helped elevate Hydrafacial’s social media presence by developing a content strategy that prioritized educating consumers about the benefits of Hydrafacial treatments, showcasing real user results to build trust, and fostering an active brand community. 

My design focus was centered on building data-driven marketing campaigns that maximized engagement across each specific platform – Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.

To achieve these goals, I prioritized highly engaging and visually stunning storytelling. This meant moving beyond static content, which limited storytelling opportunities, and crafting high-quality visuals like product photography, explainer videos, and interactive content. With this shift, I was able to effectively translate complex skincare technology into clear and engaging content, ultimately driving audience engagement.

Results

Campaign efforts drove a significant 30% growth across key metrics, including brand awareness, follower base, and user engagement, solidifying Hydrafacial’s position as a leader in the skincare technology industry.
